The Natural Park of Penyagolosa is a cultural and geographical benchmark of the Valencian Community. Its highest peak, of 1,814 meters of altitude, is the ceiling of Castellón and the second in the Community. In its heart rises the Sant Joan de Penyagolosa Hermitage (impressive gothic building and spiritual center of the massif).
The cross the Penyagolosa massif through their mountains, valleys, tracks, fields or paths of ancient millennial pilgrimages that used to communicate the different populations of the interior, 40 meters above sea level of the city of Castellón. A continuous ascent takes us to the more than 1,300 meters in the Sant Joan de Penyagolosa Hermitge, where the finish line is found.
As a semi-self-sufficiency, the itinerary runs through several municipalities in the province of Castellón, crossing the towns and municipalities of Castellón, Borriol, Vilafamés, Les Useres, Lucena, Atzeneta Del Maestrat, Culla, Vistabella Del Maestrat, Xodos and Villahermosa Del Rio.
