Let’s start working on Trail with purpose for Earthday

Last Tuesday, we announced the launch of Trail With Purpose: a solidarity initiative with Volvic as our Committed Partner and for the benefit of Kilian Jornet Foundation.

This initiative aims to :

  • Promote the good practices implemented by organisers and local partners on each of the UTWT races
  • Invite the trail running community to be more responsible towards their practice

We will produce a series of three forums, in the form of video broadcasts that we will share on our networks during the year, with 3 different topics around Sustainable Development:

1 – Trail running events anchored in a territory: how to develop an economy compatible with the ecosystem surrounding the event? What social links can be created thanks to trail running events?

2 – The issue of water: between precious, rare or abundant resources; how to manage such an entity during an event?

3 – The environmental impact and relationships of environmental protection actors within the local territory

The aim of this project is to understand your trail running practice, to present to you the actions already implemented on the UTWT and to answer your questions/requests, in order to set up new responsible actions on our circuit.

Your opinion matters to us!

If you would like to participate, click on the button below and fill out the short questionnaire whether you are a runner, a volunteer, an organiser or a spectator.

The aim is to understand the global practices and show evrything that can be done to converge towards a global sustainable approach. Let’s create a virtuous circle around these outdoor sports events!

This questionnaire will also be used to ask questions to our specialists during the first forum.

Thank you for your time and your interest in the environmental, economic and social cause.
