Everyone at UTWT is saddened by the news today. A local 100km race in Gansu, in northern China was hit by a large storm early afternoon Saturday. This tragic accident resulted in the loss of life of 21 people.
This is the first time a tragedy of this scale has hit sport of the trail running. Our thoughts are with the families and friends of those who have lost loved ones, as well the participants, volunteers, organisers, and the local authorities who have all been impacted by this tragedy.
